FORMAT

36 - Holes, Stroke Play.

 

Rounds 1 & 2 - Modified Alternate Shot: Each player on a 2-person team tees off. The team then picks the drive they want to use and play alternate shot until the ball is holed.

ELIGIBILITY

Entries are open to amateur male golfers who have an active NH GHIN Handicap Index, and have reached their 25th birthday by 12 midnight, September 27, 2020.

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

The Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the NHGA Rules of Play. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship sites. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

GOLF CARTS, CADDIES & PULL CARTS

Golf carts are included in the player entry fee. Caddies and push/pull carts are also permitted.

 

The use of more than two golf carts per pairing group at an NHGA Championship is strictly prohibited. See Cart Policy.

STARTING TIMES Starting Times & Player Information will be assigned by the NHGA and will be emailed to all competitors and will be posted online approximately 5-7 days prior to the event. Courtesy practice privileges are at the discretion of the host club(s). Pairings may be found on this page, (see “Pairings & Starting Times” tab) or by contacting the NHGA office. Round 1 will be a Shotgun start beginning at 1:30PM. Round 2 will be a 10:00am shotgun. 

 

REGISTRATION

There is no formal registration on-site for this event. Please arrive to your assigned starting tee approximately 10 minutes prior to your assigned starting time. 

 

Player withdrawals must be called in or e-mailed to the NHGA office. See Refund Policy for more information.

COURSE SET - UP 

Yardages will be posted online prior to the entry close date. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect playing conditions during the competition.

PRACTICE RANGE

The Practice Range will be available on the day(s) of competition at the players expense. Arrangements must be made with the host club. 

 

The Mount Washington Resort Golf Club Practice Range will be open one hour prior to the first starting time and will close at the discretion of the host club. 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Food and beverage will be available on a cash basis throughout the tournament. 

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each division. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at Mount Washington Resort Golf Club.

SCORE POSTING

The NHGA does not post scores for tournaments or championships with team formats. It is the responsibility of the player to post their respective score.

INCLEMENT WEATHER / CANCELLED ROUND

It is the goal of the NHGA to conduct each event in its entirety. In the event of Inclement Weather, all aspects will be considered and handled by the committee on a case by case basis. 

REFUND POLICY

A $10 service charge will be retained by the NHGA on all refunds granted for any reason. Entry fees will not be refunded within fourteen days of the start of the competition unless there are extreme circumstances preventing participation in the event.
